In the intimacy of its early hours the city is naked, one can get lost in the depth of its contradictions.

From the series 'Dublin A.M.': a time-based multimedia project that encases 366 pictures taken in Dublin around or before sunrise, in the time frame of almost two years. The photographs focus on the cityscapes and on the inherent paradoxes of the urban condition. Empty streets, buildings, hidden abandoned spaces and isolated human figures are juxtaposed with the breathtaking beauty of the city sunrises. Several self portraits - mostly reflections that blend into the cityscape - aim to create a tension between my personal early morning journey and the materiality of the urban space around me.
